In memory of youth work legend Terry Dunnell, Frontier Youth Trust has established an annual Study Bursary Award for youth work students. Terry Dunnell used to work for Frontier Youth Trust (FYT). He was a youth work pioneer, particularly establishing work around the themes of spirituality and ‘mission and young people at risk’. Sadly, he died in 2012, but through his work and writings, he left a great legacy for Christian youth workers.
The Terry Dunnell Bursary Award is to help support students in their studies – something Terry would really have approved of as he always gave his all to support the next generation of youth workers.
Any student who is writing an Undergraduate or Master’s dissertation (that will start after October 2013 and be completed by August 2014) as part of a UK Christian-based youth work or ministry degree can apply for the award. The dissertation title and subject matter must relate to the subject of: Mission and Young People at Risk. In 2013, two awards of £325 each will be made.
Further details about the Award and information about how to apply are available via: http://www.fyt.org.uk/content/project/terry-dunnell-bursary-award
